Mockingbird updates - 11/20/2009

We've made a few small changes and fixes (and some under the hood):

New:
  • Load time improvement: Thanks to Cappuccino's cool image spriting, Mockingbird starts up faster.
  • Cut: Use Command- or Ctrl-X or access cut from the Edit menu.
  • Save As keyboard shortcut: Use Command-Shift-S or Ctrl-Shift-S for "Save as..."
Fixed:
  • Tab order in registration dialog - thanks to those of you who pointed this out!
  • Typing fast in the widget search field now should now work better.
  • Per your requests, some widgets that previously didn't should now accept tabs (lists, vertical navbars, etc.).

I've just used mockingbird for the first time to try it out, and I think it's fabulous. What's missing for me seems to be a way to print out a hardcopy to scribble on. The standard browser print option doesn't render it quite right.

Keep up the good work though!

Mockingbird is an extremely promising online wireframe-app. One essential thing is missing; the option to export to pdf.

@ajilderda: Export to pdf is coming very soon. @cosmicfishbone: That should help with your printing issues!

What about exporting to CMS (I'm thinking Drupal).
By the way, Congratulations. I had use Hotgloo before, but I'm staying with you guys! :)

Congrats Saikat and Sheena. The app works great! The preview feature comes very handy! I just miss a more collaborative approach, making one able to invite contributors to edit a project. Like Posterous.

I'm loving this application, and have seriously not loved its competitors. Thanks for building a great app.

Have you tested much in the Linux operating system? My colleagues mostly use Firefox on some flavor of Linux and are experiencing unresponsive script errors or outright crashes of Firefox.

Is anyone else seeing this?

Forgot to mention: one colleague on a Mac, running Firefox, has also had the total crash happen. He's on 10.5.8 with the latest version of FF.

Vincius: Thanks!

jmt: You're right - we haven't yet done extensive testing with Linux, though we hope to get there. We're also working on improving performance overall.

Thanks for the reports. We haven't heard any other reports of an outright crash. If you can remember anything about what exactly you (or your colleague) were doing when this happened, details would be much appreciated so we can replicate and vanquish the problem.
