Updates and more updates

We just pushed out a bunch of fixes and new stuff.  The new stuff includes:

  • Automatic filler text when you add Text Area widgets.  It keeps the filler text until you change it - hopefully this will make it easier to designate text areas in your mockups when you don't want to come up with something brilliant to write in them.
  • Resizable pages panel.  A lot of people with a lot of pages have been asking for this one.  You should now be able to resize the pages panel by hovering your mouse over the bottom edge of the panel, clicking, and dragging up or down.
  • Selecting tabs in tab containers, links in link bars, buttons in button bars, etc.  Just put an asterisk next to the element you want to appear in a selected state.
  • Improved interaction with menu items.  The cursor should change when you hover over a clickable menu item
Let us know if you notice any issues, and hope this makes making mockups easier for you guys.

Filler text for Text area is brilliant, thanks. Being able to Justify the text would be great.

This tool is really cool and fun to work with! Thanks for that! Two issues I have: I don't seem to be able to link to an item in a tree list - is that intentional? And following up from there: How do i cleverly mock up vert. navigation with submenus? Tree lists would be an option - do ppl just add another vertical bar next to the first one, and go on from there? Using a vertical tab imho makes no sense, imho, as the box which is tabbed is too big - or I don't get it. :) Any ideas? TIA! :)

@Morledge: Justification would be nice on the text areas, I agree. We'll get to it. :)

@tobih: I see your point about vertical navs with submenus. Will have to think about that one a bit more - do you have any ideas yourself? Tree linking should be fixed now.

@Federico: Yes, templates/masters would be very useful. We want to do it in an intuitive way; we're happy to entertain suggestions!
